Bodybuilders-turned-actors Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ralf Moeller recently collaborated with BMW for an ad. Following the German automobile company’s Super Bowl ad in 2022, it roped in both actors once again. However, this time, they aren’t selling cars or bikes. What are they promoting, then?

Arnold Schwarzenegger tries ASMR with BMW

The short video featured actors Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ralf Moeller. But instead of speaking loud and clear, the actors spoke in hushed tones. The actors attempted to perform ASMR, which involves producing sounds like whispers, accents, and crackles. It often sounds relaxing and satisfying to the listeners. However, Schwarzenegger called it “one of the stupid rules of this show” since he had to whisper throughout the video.

The collaboration was for BMW’s Pegasus plush toy, which they had launched recently. While the automobile company specializes in cars and bikes, the plush toy was a cheeky reference to a previous ad. During the 2022 Super Bowl, both Schwarzenegger and Moeller, along with actress Salma Hayek, starred in a BMW ad. They played the roles of Greek gods and promoted BMW’s electric car model iX.

The Pegasus was, in fact, Arnold’s pet in the sketch. The plush toy is almost like a tribute to the ad. The actors slowly unbox their gift and marvel at how soft the toy felt. Toward the end of the video, Arnold cheekily exclaims that the company is not popular for making toys. It is an automobile company that makes cars and bikes.

Arnold and Ralf: Bodybuilding buddies

Both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ralf Moeller have been friends for a long time. They have similar backgrounds, wherein both were bodybuilders before turning to Hollywood. They starred in movies like Conan and Gladiator. The stars love to ride bicycles and train together in the gym.

Coming from similar backgrounds, both icons are bound to be close and share a deep bond. This ad is a testament to their friendship.
