The eldest child of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, Katherine Schwarzenegger-Pratt is an author with a soft spot for animals. After launching her new book Good Night, Sister, in February, Schwarzenegger-Pratt sat with Drew Barrymore and a litter of puppies. While appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show, she revealed a lesser-known talent about her journalist mother.

Talking to the author about how she met her husband, Chris Pratt, Barrymore asked her a question. Barrymore said that Katherine and Chris “knew” when they were ready for marriage. “How did you know? What should I be looking for?” asked the host. The bodybuilding legend’s daughter answered that she knows someone who would be delighted to help Barrymore.

Maria Shriver’s hidden talent

Instead of answering what the actress should be looking for, Katherine Schwarzenegger had an even better solution for the Donnie Darko actress. “You know, who would love to find you, somebody? My mother.” said Katherine Schwarzenegger-Pratt. Hearing the eldest daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger mention Maria Shriver, Barrymore said, “Oh, I love your mother so much.”

Born in former POTUS John F. Kennedy’s family, Maria Shriver grew up to be an ambitious individual. She pursued her passion and became one of the most successful female reporters of her time. Today, she supports noble causes like Alzheimer’s research and brain health. However, according to the 33-year-old, her mother also excels at matchmaking.

“It’s like her pride in life… loves to be a matchmaker,” said the mother of two. “And she will do it,” added Schwarzenegger-Pratt. After her guest’s assurance, Barrymore said, “Well also, I would trust your mother.” The 50 First Dates actress added that Maria Shriver is “quite the role model in this world.”

Besides offering to help Barrymore find her match, the pair also found other ways to connect during their conversation.

During the interview, the actress asked Arnold Schwarzenegger’s daughter if she had watched The White Lotus. After only two seasons, The White Lotus has become one of the most talked about and critically acclaimed TV shows. The second season even won the Golden Globe for Best Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Television Motion Picture.

However, the Maverick and Me author said she only watched the first season. Schwarzenegger-Pratt added that she gets so little time after taking care of her children,  that she couldn’t even finish her favorite show, Yellowstone. However, Barrymore got so excited she clasped Schwarzenegger Pratt’s hand and said, “It’s my favorite show too!”
