Ronnie Coleman holds the record for most Mr. Olympia wins with Lee Haney. However, Coleman has paid the price after pushing his body beyond its limit for decades. The ailing 58-year-old has undergone multiple surgeries and can’t walk without assistance. However, he still works out, and his latest workout video has left many fans concerned about the former champion’s health.

The eight-time Mr. Olympia uploaded the video on Instagram for his 5.8 million followers. The bodybuilding icon also wrote a lengthy caption to explain why he was working out while wearing winter clothing. While many fans praised his mindset, others became concerned about the exercise he was performing and its long-term effect on Coleman’s health.

Not even an arctic blast can derail Ronnie Coleman

In the video, Ronnie Coleman donned a “full sweat suit” and performed 20 reps of lat pull-downs. The former Mr. Olympia also wore fingerless gloves with integrated wrist wraps. Despite the arctic blast sweeping across America, the former champion didn’t miss his regular workout at the Metroflex gym. “It was 12 degrees outside and about 20 degrees inside the gym.” wrote Coleman.

The 58-year-old was sweating as he busted out rep after rep. However, many fans became concerned with the variation of the lat pull-down that Coleman was performing. They all voiced their concerns with his behind-the-back lat-pull-downs in the comment section.

The point of concern for many fans

Famous Youtuber and powerlifter Kyriakos Kapakoulak wrote, “For the difficult.” A fan praised Coleman’s mindset at 58. “Ronnie’s won Mr. Olympia numerous times, broke his back, has got nothing left to prove, it’s freezing cold and he’s still in the gym. That’s the mindset that’s made him a champion.”, wrote the Instagram user. However, fans were also concerned about Coleman’s health.

Some showed concern but didn’t question The King. “Bro got the most incorrect form possible, but who tf am I to tell Ronnie Coleman what to do?” one fan commented. “Is this optimal? Who cares. It’s Ronnie f’ing Coleman.” commented another. However, a fan changed his mind about the exercise and vowed to do the same movement because Coleman did it.
