Due to his diverse career choices, Arnold Schwarzenegger has made friends with eminent people in the bodybuilding, filming, and political worlds. Schwarzenegger was married to J.F. Kennedy’s niece for 25 years so it would be natural for him to be connected with high-ranking political figures. One such connection of the Austrian Oak was the former President of the United States, George H. W. Bush. But what one might not know is that Arnie had been friends with the former POTUS long before he stepped foot in the political world.

Back in the day, the two friends often went out to spend some fun time together with their families. A photo from one such vacation has been making rounds on the internet again. Looking at the struggling adults in the photo, netizens have shared some hilarious takes.

Moments before disaster?

Earlier today, a Twitter handle named ‘Fascinating’ shared a throwback photo of the Austrian Oak and the former POTUS. Describing the photo in the tweet, they wrote, “George H.W. Bush and Arnold Schwarzenegger take a toboggan ride at Camp David, 1991.” In the photo, Schwarzenegger and Bush could be seen struggling to maintain their balance on the sled. But, judging by Arnie’s expressions, they were miserably failing at it.

It looked like a hilarious photo where two friends created a core memory. However, there is more to this story than what the picture reveals. What looked like a thrilling moment for the duo, turned into a painful one for Bush’s wife, Barbara Bush. During an interview in 2018, Schwarzenegger revealed that moments after the photo was taken, the duo ran into Barbara. The chaos resulted in Barbara ending up with a broken leg.

Though not an unseen photo, it went viral soon after ‘Fascinating’ shared it with its 2M followers. Taking to the comments section, fans shared some hilarious responses.
