Showing off his amazing physique, Michal Krizo has taken the bodybuilding world by storm. After participating in Olympia 2022, Krizo gave his shocking opinion in a 2023 press conference. Giving strong opinions about Mr. Olympia 2022 competitors and lineup, Krizo compared Olympia 2022 with bodybuilding in the 90s.

The Slovakian bodybuilder went into salvage mode on his own Youtube channel named Krizo. Juxtaposing Mr. Olympia 2021 and 2022 seasons, he admitted how the 2022 setup was different from what he had previously imagined. Sharing insights about the on-stage performances of Brandon Curry and Derek Lunsford, Michal Krizo claimed his space to put forth his blatant opinions.

“This was one of the best in the last few years” Krizo expressed about Mr. Olympia 2022. However, later, he said, “But it’s still not like the 90’s the golden era.”  While he was candidly talking about all the famous names in the Mr. Olympia lineup, Krizo still felt that the 2022 top-10 lineup failed to match up with the on-stage brilliance back in the golden era.

Later, Krizo expressed, “It was a weaker Olympia lineup last year I think.”  Commenting about this year’s press conference, Krizo expected all bodybuilders to be seated in chairs where everyone would be allowed to speak based on Bob Cicherillo’s informed questions. Instead, Krizo expressed his disappointment when the bodybuilders were asked to sit backstage and were directly called out. In other words, he hinted at the fact that Mr. Olympia stage should be more about the contestants than anything else.

Further, talking about Brandon Curry, Krizo said that Curry had the best upper body, round and beautiful. However, he also said that while he liked Curry’s physique, he wasn’t conditioned enough. Afterward, talking about Derek Lunsford, Krizo said that Lunsford looked harder from the back than that of Hadi Choopan. However, the front angles had a completely different story.

Deliberating on Krizo’s views about Olympia instantly reminds one of the similar views that former IFBB pro Paul Dillet has.  Guess what the CEO of World Beauty Fitness & Fashion Inc. has to say about the changing desirables in the bodybuilding world from his time to the current scenario.

Dillett said that when bodybuilders were posing on Fibo, there would be a huge audience of 5000 people. “We would sign autographs until our fingers were swollen”, he recalled. He also said that bodybuilders were so famous that they could auction their shirts and there would be bids for those shirts.

Afterward, Dillett revealed that bodybuilders would earn more than $2000 a day by appearances at nightclubs. He also implied that Olympia had gone through a massive transformation with females clad in bikinis and bodybuilders wearing shorts.
