Arnold Schwarzenegger admits to lying as a Governor
There are often debates about the credibility of a politician’s words. The public is divided into two groups- those who believe politicians’ words and those who don’t. But some incidents unite both groups for a moment. And Arnold has one such incident that leaves everyone in splits, gasping for their breath.
Appearing on a talk show with famed host James Corden, Schwarzenegger found himself at the receiving end of one ‘tough as the terminator,’ question. Corden asked, “In the public’s eye, politicians have a reputation for lying. While you were the Governor, what is something you said or did that you knew was a lie?”
Arnold said there’s a time when a Governor either signs or vetoes a bill. And when a bill gets vetoed, the Governor has to send a veto message to the legislator that sent it. And there was one legislator whom Arnold didn’t like too much. So when Arnie vetoed his bill, he wanted to make sure the legislator got his message. “So I wrote each line in the veto message. Each line had to start with a certain letter that, when you go down the line, it says ‘F*** Y**.”
And this wasn’t even the best part! During the press conference the following day, the press discovered the hidden message, and they asked Arnold, “did you know that this said ‘F*** Y**?'” Arnold replied, “no, no, wait a minute, where does it say that? Wow, I’m amazed. No, I did not know that.” (there’s that actor)

Arnold was 15 when he fell in love with bodybuilding and started weight training. At 19, he took part in his first Mr. Universe competition in London. He finished second, and it was here he earned his nickname, ‘Austrian Oak.’ Schwarzenegger traveled to America soon after to take part in the Mr. Olympia tournament.
Similar to his first appearance in Mr. Universe, Arnie finished second. In 1970, Arnold’s dominance in the bodybuilding circuit began. Arnold won six consecutive Mr. Universe titles until 1975 before retiring. But in 1980, he made a surprise comeback to win a seventh Mr. Universe title.
