The Mr. Olympia championship is the most prestigious bodybuilding competition in history. Every bodybuilder’s dream is to have at least win one Mr. Olympia title in their career. Unfortunately, due to a VISA issue, seems like Iranian bodybuilder Behrooz Tabani might have to wait longer to compete at the reputed event.

In one of his latest social media posts, Tabani’s friend and Serbian competitor Milos Sarcev posted a heartfelt message for the bodybuilder and other Iranian athletes.

Bodybuilding champion faces VISA issue days before 2022 Mr. Olympia championship

In an unfortunate turn of events, young and upcoming bodybuilder Behrooz Tabani is facing immigration issues to enter the States. However, with just six days to go for the 2022 Mr. Olympia championships, Tabani’s participation in the tournament remains uncertain.

Recently, his dear friend and another bodybuilder, Milos Sarcev, took to Instagram to explain Tabani’s situation with an emotional message. In his post featuring Tabani, Sarcev wrote, “At this point only a miracle can help my dear friend and athlete, Iranian bodybuilding superstar @ifbbpro_behrooztabani, who is qualified for the 2022 Mr Olympia and should rightfully be able to compete (as he earned that right 🙌)…but he is more than likely going to be denied, just like @hadi_choopan was back in a day.”

The situation is extremely delicate, and Tabani may have to give up his hopes of competing at Mr. Olympia this year. However, this is not the first time an athlete has faced a VISA and immigration issue right before an important tournament. Hence, Sarcev further wrote, “It breaks my heart for Behrooz and ALL Iranian bodybuilders, athletes, and people in general.”

The Serbian bodybuilder also appealed to his followers for any possible help to fulfill Tabani’s dream to compete in 2022. Mr. Olympia championship. In the past, top bodybuilder Hadi Choopan also faced similar issues, not once but numerous times.

Hadi Choopan faced VISA issues too

One of the top 2022 Mr. Olympia competitors Hadi Choopan, had also faced immigration issues, which denied him from competing in the tournament. In 2019, “The Persian Wolf” again hit the headlines when it was revealed that his participation at Mr. Olympia was doubtful.

Yet again, in 2020, the bodybuilder faced a similar problem before the Mr. Olympia event. However, it was finally the end of his misfortune, as the issue got resolved, and Choopan competed at the competition.
