Bodybuilding legend Lou Ferrigno, who is said to be one of the best bodybuilders of all time, once shared his experience of being on the popular show ‘Celebrity Apprentice’, and it is really interesting. He gave an insight into how he dealt with all the tasks on the show. 

Lou Ferrigno is an extremely popular retired professional bodybuilder and actor. He has won the IFBB Mr. America title as well as two consecutive IFBB Mr. Universe titles.

Lou Ferrigno was brilliant on the Celebrity Apprentice!

Ferrigno recalls how his bodybuilding experience helped him immensely while playing the Celebrity Apprentice. He took all the experiences that he had on the show, including the criticism calmly. Talking about the criticism that he faced on the show, he said, “as a bodybuilder, you know you are dealing with a lot of rejection and a lot of critiques.”

He further said, “I was able to take criticism.” Ferrigno shared how years of experience in bodybuilding, where one has to face a lot of criticism, helped him on the show.

Moreover, he also shared that some celebrities are not able to take criticism. But he could take it due to his experience, which helped him persevere in the show. Notably, he stated that he was the only athlete to be on the show, and performed the various tasks that came his way while on the show really well.

Ferrigno also had successful career in the entertainment industry!

Back in 1977, Ferrigno was cast in his most popular character to date, The Incredible Hulk. This role established Ferrigno as an actor. In addition to this iconic role, he was also a part of the movie Hercules while making guest appearances in the popular CBS sitcom, The King of Queens. He has also appeared in many other popular shows as a guest over the years.

It was really interesting to see how the bodybuilding icon dealt with criticism on the Celebrity Apprentice, all thanks to his long bodybuilding experience. Going forward, it would be interesting to get more such insights from the legend himself on his experience of being on the popular show.
