His Instagram story recently featured a clip of an amputee on a plastic chair, happily playing football with another kid. They seemed to use their chair to kick the ball and move around. This inspired Wheeler, a fellow amputee.

The recent Arnold Classic championship witnessed Flex Wheeler receive one of the most prestigious awards of all time. Accepting the Lifetime Achievement Award, the veteran was teary-eyed when he addressed the audience.

The 57-year-old survived over 40 surgeries and still suffers from multiple health issues but always stands strong. He requested, “I don’t want any of you guys to feel sorry for me for anything that I’ve done or went through or going through or will go through”.
