Ronnie Coleman winning Mr. Olympia for eight consecutive years is something that is almost an impossible feat for any other bodybuilder. With his meticulous physique, he dominated the world of bodybuilding and became the idol of many fitness and bodybuilding fanatics. Interestingly, the King credits his commendable stature and ambrosial body to his genes.

Forthwith winning his 3rd Mr. Olympia title, Coleman appeared in a talk show, where he revealed the reason behind his grandeur physique. As per Ronnie, he is genetically programmed to have a meritorious body.

In 2000, Ronnie gained widespread recognition by winning the reverent title of Mr. Olympia for the 3rd year in a row. In the same year, to celebrate his momentous triumph, the king was invited to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The bodybuilder profoundly chatted about his Mr. Olympia hat trick and his previous metier as a police officer. 

Out of curiosity, at one point during the interview, Jay asked Coleman about his workout regimen. Elaborating on the same, Coleman gave away the time for which he used to engage in the workout on the daily basis. He said, “about 45 minutes an hour a day”. Ronnie further joked, “I am kind of like what they call a genetic freak”. Moreover, as per Ronnie, he got “a whole body that’s genetically freaky”.

Interestingly, the ace bodybuilder further mentioned his dietary habits and the various kinds of food he likes to consume in order to maintain his body. As per Ronnie’s revelations, he liked to eat hamburgers, pizza, fried chicken, and potato chips.

The then-3x Mr. Olympia also disclosed his body weight, chest size, and biceps measurements to the host and left him awestruck. He even talked about his intimidating persona when he served as a policeman. “I guess it was a pretty interesting thing”, added Coleman.

Clearly, Coleman’s genetics helped him immensely in order to serve as a domineering personality both in and outside the arena of bodybuilding. However, his determination and disciplined regimen added the icing on the cake, and he shared the same reverent podium as Lee Haney after becoming the 8x Mr. Olympia champion.
