Chris Bumstead has conquered the bodybuilding world with his immaculate physique. CBum won his fourth consecutive Mr. Olympia Classic Physique title to end 2022 on a high note. However, even after achieving a lot in life, there is a certain something that bothers the bodybuilder. And in his latest Instagram post, Bumstead confessed the only thing he currently needs in his life. 

Bodybuilding takes a lot of hard work, sacrifice, determination, and other qualities from an athlete to stay on top of their game. Moreover, the excessively time-consuming nature makes it one of the toughest sports to pursue. While working hard to pursue the dream, it is possible to lose the balance in life. Nothing in life comes easy. After having massive success in bodybuilding, CBum is still ready to intake all the chaos for his successful career. But at the same time, he needs his peace of mind, too. While he shared the Instagram post with six model-like pictures, he shared the process through which he will be trying to keep his mind at peace.

Bumstead shared a deep message in his caption. He explained the difference between a balanced lifestyle and a balanced mind, which people generally mistake to be the same. CBum explained, “A balanced lifestyle and a balanced mind are two drastically different things. Peace of mind is the only balance I need, I’ll take the chaotic lifestyle to chase my dreams.” Indeed, he needs peace of mind, but how has he planned to attain it?

Bumstead has figured out a way by which he can keep his mind on track. He confessed, “I’ve found that the more is expected of me and the more chaotic my life gets if I can have a day or two alone, or a weekend doing absolutely nothing, where I am intentional with my time to reflect inward I can keep my mind in order.” Bumstead has been going through a lot. Although he has won four titles now, with retirement plans roaming in his mind, it might be difficult for Bumstead to find peace.

CBum has been one of the most influential bodybuilding figures for the youth lately. Since he entered the pro circuit, he has shown immense potential to dominate the Classic Physique category. In a podcast with his current coach, Hany Rambod, Bumstead revealed his retirement plan. Bumstead is not standing out and working hard there with a certain number in his mind. However, he does have an ideal situation of how he wants to retire. 

While speaking with Rambod, he said, “I know I have at least one more in me. After this year, same thing. If I’m like, ‘fu** I’m done,’ and I’m getting out of here, then I’m done. I hope I trust myself enough to know that it’s time to check out because my one goal I have with retirement is retiring on top. That’s really all I care about. I don’t really care about how many I get”

Chris Bumstead has worked immensely hard to build his bodybuilding career. And indeed, he has made the most of his career by securing runner-up positions two times and winning the title four times. However, at this time, attaining peace of mind has become the priority for Bumstead.
