A few weeks ago, legendary bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger lost his dear friend Jim Lorimer. As the bodybuilder is still coping with the loss of his friend, his ex-wife Maria Shriver is undergoing the same pain as him. While writing about death and old age in her recent blog, the famous journalist remembered her daughter’s not-so-pleasant words regarding Shriver’s old age.

Her daughter never wants to become like her mother and undergo the pain she goes through.

Bendix was the Californian native’s closest friend who had moved away from the journalist just a few months ago. While undergoing such agony, Shriver talked about the words said to her by one of her daughters.

In the blog, Shriver recalled, “‘I’d hate to be your age and have to watch your friends start to die,’ and as many of you know all too well, it is hard. Really, really hard.” After seeing her “old” parents going through so much grief, Shriver’s daughter never wants to reach the age where she would be in a similar situation. However, Shriver countered her daughter’s view, by writing that death is unexpected and can come at any age.
