With his 7 consecutive Mr. Olympia trophies, Phil Heath etched his name in bodybuilding history. All those wins helped the IFBB pro to match bodybuilding pioneer Arnold Schwarzenegger’s record. Only two bodybuilders, Ronnie Coleman, and Lee Haney have won more titles than him. Moreover, Heath, who admittedly thinks he is better than the all-time greats, could not be stopped from 2011 to 2017.

Recently, one of Mr. Olympia’s fan pages posted an old video of the American bodybuilder where he was seen giving a winner’s speech. It was in 2017 when Heath won his 7th title. He got all emotional while looking back to his journey all around. Let’s go down to know more about the same.

The “mr.olympiallc.fp” recently shared a throwback video of the 7-time winner along with the quote, “PHIL HEATH’S motivational speech after winning his 7th Olympia title in 2017”, and tagged Heath. The American bodybuilder enveloped a heart-touching tale for the audience. “When I started bodybuilding, I had no idea that I would be standing on this stage one day, winning the Mr. Olympia. Let alone, you know, being seven-time champion.”, shared Heath.

Moreover, he seemed grateful to the sport, “It taught me how to train hard when no one’s in the room, when you’re having a bad day. Through death, through hardship. Through anything that can go wrong.” Heath advised his fans to show up every day even if they are not feeling confident.

Evidently, his voice was trembling when he shared, “I’d be in there dying. Looking at those pictures in the gym, of Schwarzenegger, of Coleman, of Haney, of Dorian, and of everybody. And I would just tell myself: ‘one more set. One more rep.’ Just give it everything you got, so you could put yourself in best position to win.” Quite motivating words to gear up for a journey!

However, mentioning these legends, Heath once held a confident opinion. The IFBB professional hinted he was the best one among all the great bodybuilders out there.

The former Mr. O was sanguine that he was, “The most competitive Mr. Olympia.” He further went on to explain his opinion, saying, “When I’m talking about competitive… I’m saying making other people feel intimidated.” Heath also thought that, unlike the former legends, he won two-day shows, which make him superior among the greats.

The seven-time Mr. Olympia said, like Arnold Schwarzenegger, he also played mind games to dampen the confidence of his opponents. Heath said if his rivals, Kai Greene or Dexter Jackson, did a show, he would train harder in the gym.
