Ronnie Coleman is one of the biggest names when it comes to bodybuilding. His admirers prefer to call him as a ‘king’ due to his monumental achievements. Similarly, his fans are also aware of his bad health condition for the past few years. The legend has undergone many surgeries, which have caused him to use support to walk.

The parts of his surgeries include his neck, back, and shoulder. However, Ronnie kept his hope for being healthy again, even after a failed surgery. Meanwhile, after returning home, he saw a positive thing that shocked him.

Ronnie Coleman amazed by his weight 

Coleman revealed this positive news about his body in ‘Ain’t Nothing but a Podcast’ show. The podcast aired in December 2021, where he recalled the moment he checked his weight after coming home. He was filled with happiness because it reflected the improvements in health. 

He stated“I weighed myself five times on the scale downstairs, and I thought, ‘maybe it’s because I’m downstairs,’” Coleman said on the podcast episode. Adding about the way he freaked, Coleman said, “I was freaking out, so I went upstairs, and [that scale] was the same. I was like ‘wow.’”

In addition, Ronnie pointed out that he was back to his prime time weight of 285 pounds. The eight-time Mr.Olympia winner added, “That’s the thing I’m most proud of. My legs had atrophied a lot since 2016 when I went in and had my first surgery — 2017, same thing; 2018, 2019, 2020, same thing. I was just about to give up on it, you know. Then, suddenly, about four months ago, I started feeling a pump in my legs.” When he was shining his body on the stage, he used to hit the gym and devoted himself to bodybuilding.

Ronnie facing struggles

Once during a podcast with Joe Rogan, Coleman shared the pain he felt throughout surgeries. In addition, he revealed that he used to do squats during hernia, which is shocking for Joe. According to Ronnie, he worked out daily despite the doctor saying no to him. His purpose for working out was to lessen the pain.

Meanwhile, he also talked about his diet, rumored for several years. Ronnie described his entire process of putting a five to ten pounds routine in a year. In addition, he did lots of heavy lifting with a proper diet, which included lots of food.
