Samir Bannout doesn’t agree with millions of fans about Chris Bumstead
On the 24th episode of The Muscle Maturity Podcast, bodybuilding legends Samir Bannout and John Hansen joined co-host Nick Trigili. The trio talked about the classic physique category for the upcoming Mr. Olympia. During the conversation, Samir said reigning champion Chris Bumstead’s “biggest threat,” is Brazilian Dino Ramon.
“I mean, Cbum needs to improve his arms a little bit, if he does is going to be much more deadly,” said Bannout. He also said Chris proved his dominance by winning the Mr. Olympia Classic Physique title thrice. However, Samir feels Dino has better arms and better “genetics” than Cbum. However, John disagreed with Samir.

“The overall look, though, he still has it. He has a smaller waist, wiser shoulders…” said Hansen. However, Samir instantly countered saying, “No! No!… Do I want Chris Bum’s body or Ramon’s? I want Ramon’s body.” While Samir was quite adamant about how he saw the competition, the former Mr. Olympia also said it was his opinion.
During the podcast, John said Ramon would “create shockwaves throughout the whole industry,” if he upset Chris to win the Classic Physique title at Mr. Olympia 2022. Hansen also mentioned Chris has “like 12 million” followers on Instagram. Coupled with 2.55 million YouTube subscribers, millions of fans are rooting for Cbum.
What has Bumstead changed this year?
