Lou Ferrigno is widely recognized for his behemoth physicality. Training alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 70s, the former bodybuilding champion eventually ventured into acting. Following in his Incredible Hulk father’s footsteps, Lou Ferrigno Jr. developed a passion for acting. His skills and screen persona earned him several recurring roles since the beginning of his career in 2013 in How I Met Your Mother, Teen Wolf, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, and the Netflix Series, Outer Banks.

Famously known as “The Son of Incredible Hulk,” in a 2021 interview, Ferrigno Jr showed no surprise at a question on whether he would pull off the Hulk role. Furthermore, he explained why the suitability of his father playing the role is unrivaled.

Ferrigno’s iconic acting as the Incredible Hulk has set huge standards that it is hard to imagine someone else breathing reality into the character. In an exclusive interview with Fiction Horizon, Ferrigno Jr. gave his answer to the question he has been asked several times.

Without much thinking, being an actor himself, Jr. replied, “Unfortunately, um… even if my, if I was the size of my father, um… I don’t think it could be pulled off.” Looks like he had imagined himself pulling off the role and realized the larger-than-life demand of the role.

The HIMYM actor also shared that it was hard to find a dude of such massiveness, “even way bigger than my father for it to be realistic.” However, he added that only CGI could do the job. Regarding the offer to play the role, he said he would not take it as “That’s for my dad.”

It is not surprising that Ferrigno Jr. has an immense admiration for his dad, who once revealed that he didn’t want his son to pursue bodybuilding. This was primarily because of the difficulties and challenges involved in the sport. While the S.W.A.T actor said that he would reject the offer to play the role of the Hulk, he displayed excitement on asking whether he would like to be the voice behind the face. “That would be cool,” he stated. Moreover, Ferrigno Jr. became nostalgic during the conversation.
