In his recent YouTube video, 8x Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman made a bizarre revelation about his diet. It is no new news that bodybuilders have to follow a very strict plan when it comes to their diet and training. The majority of bodybuilders include non-vegetarian food in their diet.
Pure vegetarian bodybuilders are rare but not non-existent. But among all these, Ronnie Coleman’s diet is the one that stands out. Revealing himself as a picky eater, the King shared how his trainer had to prepare a special diet plan for him.

King Coleman detests eating green vegetables.
“Certain guys can do certain things. Like me, I didn’t eat vegetables so he had to write my diet around that. Because I didn’t eat anything green and then I was very picky about you know what I would eat,” said the 8x Mr. Olympia. He further talked about what his go-to food items were.
“I’ve always been that way, you know. Simple, eating for me is chicken and rice, steak and potato, and we met turkey. I didn’t do fish, I didn’t like fish. So I’ve a very limited amount of food that I can eat,” he added. Though he is a picky eater, Coleman always sticks to a healthy diet. In a conversation with bodybuilder Andrew Jacked, Coleman once revealed what his diet was like when he used to compete in the pro league. Ronnie Coleman used to eat twice as much as a regular human being. The King ate 6 meals a day during his preparation time, and in order to stick to the plan, Coleman had to wake up in the middle of the night to have the 6th meal.
Coleman started his day with two cups of egg white, which gradually transitioned to protein shakes as the competition neared. He consumed approximately 5000 calories per day, which were made up of 5-10% fat, 65% protein, and 20-25% carbs. Coleman’s diet has always been protein-centric as it helps him build muscles.
