Getting nightmares before any big occasion is quite common, and even the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger faces them often. However, as unusual as it may sound, he did not have any nightmares before any bodybuilding championship. However, sleep seems to trouble him prior to the production of every new film.

As one might expect, the Terminator star’s recurring nightmare problem is as unique as the actor himself. Here is what Schwarzenegger disclosed during an old interview wherein the host interviewed director John Milius and the Terminator actor for their upcoming movie Conan the Barbarian.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and his never-ending nightmare

Before the success of his blockbuster movie Conan the Barbarian, the famous Schwarzenegger was roped-in for a candid interview regarding his fame and rise in the Hollywood industry. During this conversation, the superstar revealed an unknown truth about himself and one specific nightmare that Schwarzenegger saw before beginning to shoot a new film.

As per the interview reported by Vanity Fair, he stated, “A week or so before I start, I always have a nightmare. In the dream, I am sitting naked in the dark, with the cameras ready to roll. And I’m not prepared—I don’t have my clothes on, the scene isn’t ready, and I don’t know what I am trying to shoot. Then I wake up, and it’s the middle of the night, and I look around and I think, Wait, I’m not ready.”

Maybe the nightmare has some meaning to it, but the action hero is not one to sit and interpret his dreams. “To me, analysis takes away from enjoyment. Can you imagine if you intellectualized s**?” questioned Schwarzenegger. Besides this interview, Schwarzenegger never really talked about the nightmare again in any other conversation. The only dream the actor ever believed in was to make fitness and gyms a necessity in America, and he successfully fulfilled it. But it wasn’t easy either.
