Milos Sarcev is a former professional bodybuilder who has been renowned for his strong opinion against existing stereotypes in the sports industry. One of the most remarkable aspects of Sarcev’s physique was his ability to achieve an extremely dehydrated look that showcased his lean and muscular body to the fullest extent. However, he has given a cryptic opinion on the notion of dehydrating bodies. 

Milos Sarcev went to the archive and shared some old pictures highlighting his dehydrated body. However, it was the caption under the pictures that grabbed people’s attention.

The picture was taken in the late 1990s, during Sarcev’s peak competitive years. In the image, He is standing on stage during a bodybuilding competition, with his body glistening and his muscles bulging with incredible definition. What makes this picture stand out, however, is the level of dehydration that Sarcev has achieved. However, the legendary coach raised some serious questions against the popular notion.

In his Instagram post, Sarcev wrote, “How dry do we need to be?” He also highlighted the possible dangers of pushing the body too far. While describing the importance of a hydrated body, he wrote, “Water=LIFE, Hydrated= HEALTH”. The legend further asked a question about the over-emphasis on dry and defined bodies. ” How far do we need to push?”, he wrote in the post.

To achieve this level of dehydration, bodybuilders like Sarcev engage in a process known as “water cutting.” The goal is to reduce the amount of water that lies beneath the skin in the body, which helps to enhance muscle definition. It creates the “dry” look that judges look for in bodybuilding competitions. This extreme level of dehydration possesses some really unhealthy effects on the body. However, this wasn’t the first time when Sarcev challenged the existing bodybuilding notions.

Sarcev’s unconventional approach to bodybuilding

Almost a month ago Sarcev shed some light on his workout routine during his heydays. While the popular notion revolves around training one muscle at a time, Sarcev used to work out twice a day. In the Q&A session, he revealed how training two different muscles a day helped him.

Today, Milos Sarcev is retired from competitive bodybuilding but remains an influential figure in the sport. He is a renowned coach and trainer, and his knowledge and expertise are sought after by athletes and enthusiasts around the world. Hence, any small reaction from Mr. Universe creates buzz.
