“How Do I Cope With That?”: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Daughter Struggled With “Existential Question” After Over-Medicating Herself With Adderall

75-year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger is a protective father. Being a father to five kids, Arnold had his hands full. Much like Arnold, the fans love his family members too. Being a known name in the field of journalism Arnold’s ex-wife Maria alongside her children repeatedly talks about issues that concern society. Siting for one such interview ahead of their Netflix documentary “Take Your Pills,” the mother-daughter duo dispelled cultural myths surrounding prescribed stimulants.

As Maria and Christina sat down for a talk with the team of The Sunday Paper, they extensively talked about anti-anxiety medication. As the views on its use stand divided, the mother-daughter duo shares their insight and take.

Arnold’s daughter shared her perspective 

Maria and Christina paired up to produce the Netflix documentary “Take Your Pills.” Asking about the inspiration behind the project, the host enquired Christina, “what was your ultimate goal in producing that first documentary?”

The youngest daughter of Arnold revealed that the idea behind the project came from her own experience. She said, “it really stemmed from my experience taking Adderall, graduating from college, and encountering some health issues related to that overuse.” Talking about her struggles, she revealed she felt it was an existential question when she decided to go off the medications.

For her, the struggle was real. She could not help but wonder, “how do I cope with that?” She eventually realized that, like her, many of her friends struggled. Thus, she soon realized that she wasn’t the only one. She ultimately decided to help others by making the documentary. She remains hopeful that it can help others out.

Talking about her journey, Christina revealed that while trying to get off Adderall, she had to struggle a lot. With little awareness, she could not find much information on the subject. Being a visual learner, she realized that if they share the information concerning Adderall through a documentary, it will help people learn better.

Maria is proud to see her daughter handle such a sensitive subject with so much maturity. She appreciates Christina for realizing that there are others as well who need help. For those unversed, Adderall is a combination of two central nervous stimulants. Though many have benefited from its use, many have a different tale. Maria and Christina’s endeavor is thus to help those who have faced issues after using it!
