Hall has been on a tough journey to get in shape for big bodybuilding competitions in 2024. His approach is to first peak at his best weight and then cut down from there. In order to get familiar with the basics, Hall called in for some help. Jamie Christian-Johal is an IFBB pro nicknamed ‘The Giant’ due to his tall stature.
Jamie decided to get Hall to perform some poses and build a posing routine. But this got many fans to comment down their opinions. The short video that featured Hall and Jamie trying out different poses went viral, and fans are on two ends of the spectrum. Some marveled at the strongman’s physique with comments like “Eddie Hall is so strong that even his bear belly has a 6 pack,” “The cut is gonna be insane”, and “When he reaches his desired physical condition, he will amaze us.”
Meanwhile, others didn’t hesitate to make fun of Hall with jibes at his physique. Fan comments on the video ranged from “He’s literally just a giant ball of muscle isn’t he,” to “I love Eddie’s little stubby arms, they just fit in so well with his character/personality” to “I don’t know how Eddie is going to do this being built like a refrigerator.“

Since his body gained a lot of bulk owing to his Strongman career, cutting down was a challenge. However, Hall signed up for the tough journey regardless. While many criticized his strategy, including popular YouTuber Nick’s Strength and Power, the strongman persists. If Hall makes it to Mr. Olympia with a bodybuilder-like physique, it would be interesting to see how he stands up against the veterans.
