When we speak about Bodybuilding, one name that frequently pops up is Jay Cutler. The four-time Mr.Olympia title winner, went on record to state that, Chris Bumstead might actually win the Olympia one day.

In an interview with RX Muscle, the retired professional bodybuilder, discussed various topics among which was his top pick for the next Mr. Olympia title. In addition, the upcoming edition of Mr. Olympia would witness Chris as he puts his new strategy into action.

Jay Cutler heaps of praise for Chris Bumstead

Cutler acknowledged that Chris may actually win the title of Mr. Olympia one day. While he also stated that he might not compare up to the likes of top contenders such as Big Ramy, he has a genuine chance of winning it in the future. In addition, nodding towards his young age, Cutler appreciated the social support that Bumstead enjoys.

“Out of everybody competing this weekend, he is the most popular guy,” Jay said. With close to 10.9 million followers on Instagram, Bumstead is a social icon and a bodybuilding superstar already.

He continued, “Chris Bumstead is bodybuilding’s superstar at this moment and he’s got a whole community behind him and that really helps a lot when you’re in that position to win the title because the whole place is going to be cheering for this kid.”

Having won the Classic Physique category for three years in a row, C-bum, as he is lovingly called is a sheer example of how the stakes are. According to Cutler, his physique, “Has the structure to hold a lot of muscle,” and his confidence speaks for itself.

Born in 1995, Bumstead is only 27 years old and despite a few health complications, could possibly be seen competing well into his 40s. Like a lot of competitors do. The retired bodybuilder had nothing but praises for the IFBB pro. “I mean he’s kind of set the standard and he’s running with it. He’s young and he’s aggressive in what he does,” added Cutler.

Furthermore, Chris Bumstead will forever be an example of perfectionism in the sport. He has recently announced his plans for the ultimate stages of the 2022 Olympia. As it turns out, none other than the legendary, Hany Rambod, would help him with his training, as he prepares to win his fourth consecutive title this year. Finally, he made the announcement on his YouTube channel in a video released on October 22, 2022.
