Arnold Schwarzenegger with an evil smile?
It was Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 73rd birthday back in 2020. His friend and movie-mate Dolph Lundgren made sure to reminisce about some of the memorable moments they have spent together. The actor shared a story, a funny one indeed, through an Instagram post and wished him a happy birthday.
The first time they met was long before Dolph entered the acting world; it was on the set of ‘Conan The Destroyer.’ Fast forward to their next meetup, which was when Dolph was training for ‘Rocky IV,’ where he fought Sylvester Stallone. The actor’s tired body wanted some sleep, while his then-girlfriend Grace Jones was partying.

Dolph added in the caption, “There was a knock on my door at midnight and when I yelled:’Who the hell is it?’ The response came: ‘It’s your trainer! I’m here to check your abs!’ When I opened the door, There he was – a big smile on his face, smoking a fat Cuban cigar.”
The buddies, including co-star Stallone, did three films together, The Expendables sequels, from 2010 to 2014. The first film was a tremendous success, collecting around $274.5 million; it was significantly higher than the production cost, which was approximately $80 million. The next two movies also turned out to be blockbusters.
Arnold, Dolph, and Stallone together
Arnold and Dolph have a deep-rooted friendship that started long before they shared the screen. The first time fans saw together them on camera was in the year 2010. Their films did exceptionally well at the box office and the profit was startling.
On the other hand, Arnold and Stallone had a fierce rivalry back in the time, given their competitive nature. Nevertheless, it didn’t take much time for them to turn it into a close friendship. Soon after that, Arnold, Sylvester, and Dolph were popularly known as the 80s trio, who took over the action film world real quick.
