“He Was Stern”: Muhammad Ali’s Daughter Opened Up on Working With Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2016

Arnold Schwarzenegger is a multi-talented actor who has excelled in a variety of roles. After two terms as the Governor of California, Schwarzenegger made his next stop at the boardroom with 16 celebrities and presented them with business-oriented tasks on innovation, teamwork, technology, and more. Laila Ali, who was one of the contestants, revealed her experience working with the Terminator star.

Arnold Schwarzenegger brought a serious tone to the show

In an exclusive interview with the Parade, the former super middle-weight champion shared her experience in the show. Ali highlighted the level of complexity and versatility expected of her to accomplish seemingly impossible tasks in a stipulated amount of time while also being under a microscopic view of the Governator.

Speaking about Schwarzenegger, she described him as a “very smart and experienced businessman.” Furthermore, she shared that the celebrities anticipated his reactions when he would fire them. “He got better and better as the show went on, but he was stern,” she continued.

As a businessman, “he imparted a lot of wisdom to us along the way,” she added. The reality show was hosted by former President Donald Trump from 2008 to 2015. While Arnold oversaw the affairs in the boardroom from January to August 2017, he expressed dissent with doing another season.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was unhappy with Trump’s involvement

Schwarzenegger had a phenomenal experience hosting the “Celebrity Apprentice.” However, the ratings were poor due to his predecessor, Trump’s involvement in the show. Although the public appreciated the Terminator star for his elegant screen presence, they were turned off on learning that a part of the proceedings still went to Trump as an executive producer. Also, they boycotted it.

It even caused Schwarzenegger and Trump to fight in a war of tweets.

Matt Iseman, an actor, comedian, and tv host, emerged as the winner of the New Celebrity Apprentice in 2017, hosted by Schwarzenegger. Moreover, it marked the last season of the show.
