“He Has All the Help in the World”: Arnold Schwarzenegger Revealed the Proudest Part of Being a Father of Five in 2019

Arnold Schwarzenegger and his eldest son Patrick stirred a storm in Germany in 2019 when the father-son duo posed for the ‘GQ Germany’ cover in June for the first time. Dressed in cowboy hats, jeans, and boots, the Schwarzeggers bought the bygone era to life.

As the pair shared the screen for the brand promotion, the fans got glimpses of a more candid Arnold. Having seen him playing reel roles to perfection, the Arnie fans this time saw Arnold perfecting the father’s role. Sharing his visions, the bodybuilding champion shared his insights on parenting. 

Arnold Schwarzenegger and his vision for kids 

In the shared Instagram clip, Arnold is heard saying, “My vision was to create great kids.” He adds that he is proud that he could show Patrick the way ahead. When talking about his son, Arnold shared that he was aware he could turn him for him anytime. According to Arnold, Patrick knew “he has all the help in the world from” him, but that does not encourage him to stay away from working hard.

Arnold encourages his kids to work hard. Patrick also joined his father in the conversation and shared his insights on his father’s teachings. He reflected on his father’s parenting tips: “My dad has always taught us kids… follow your passion, what you love.”

Even though Arnold and Patrick do not share much screen space together, the duo have a great relationship. Apart from sharing a great “father-son relationship,” the two also “have a great friendship.” The two are regularly seen partying together and going for bike rides. Like senior Schwarzenegger, Patrick, too, is pursuing a career in acting. The actor-investor was last seen in the series ‘The Terminal List‘ alongside brother-in-law Chris Pratt.

When Patrick thanked his father Arnold for helping him get rid of a bad habit

Arnold’s love for cigars was never a hidden fact. However, the Terminator star didn’t appreciate his eldest son smoking weed. Talking about it, Patrick in 2019 confessed that his dad inspired him to let go of the bad habit. As Patrick revealed, he picked up the unhealthy habit of having more “fun.”

His dad quickly chirped in to counter, “how much more fun do you need to have? Life is so good. I’m high on life.” It was then realization struck Patrick became aware of the unhealthy lifestyle that he was leading. Since then, Patrick distanced himself from the unhealthy habit.
