“He Dismissed Me”: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Political Contention Was Mocked By President George W. Bush’s Mastermind In 2003

With talent and great personality, Arnold Schwarzenegger became the inspiration for millions. After accomplishing seven titles in Mr.Olympia and an impeccable acting career, he became the governor of California. He provided astounding initiatives for the city and nailed his role as governor.

Previously, the bodybuilder had a good relationship with former President Bush. 

Strategist disrupting chances of Arnold Schwarzenegger 

The legendary bodybuilder has devoted himself many times while advocating for social causes. During an interview with USA Today in 2012, Arnold elaborated on why he doesn’t argue with people who undervalue his presence. Further, he described how former President George W. Bush’s strategist Karl Rove ridiculed his chances of succeeding. He said, “He was a political genius, and he dismissed me!”

However, Arnold succeeded within the period of his tenure as a governor and proved everyone wrong with his extraordinary work. Going back in time, in 2004, he first announced that he wished to run in the election. As the time moved forward, his candidacy got confirmed.

He defeated Cruz Bustamante, Tom McClintock, and several others in the elections to secure his seat. Schwarzenegger started advocating for many social causes, including climate change. Since the beginning of his bodybuilding career, he has shown the true actions of being a politician. Meanwhile, there was a time when the 41st President, George H. W. Bush, compared himself with Schwarzenegger. 

A compliment from the former President 

In 2014, when the bodybuilder was invited to the White House for dinner, former President George H.W. Bush addressed every guest with a little speech. When Arnold’s turn came, President complimented him by saying, “Last time I was with governor Schwarzenegger, it dawned on me that we have some things in common.”

He further added, “We both married well, we both have trouble with the English language, we both have big biceps ah 2003.” Arnold has proved how everyone, including President Bush, loves him. After enjoying a great life with the impeccable bodybuilding journey and political career, he is now busy shooting for his upcoming Netflix projects.
