Arnold Schwarzenegger has probably had the most versatile career. Seven-time Mr. Olympia winner, Hollywood action icon, and the Governor of California. However, these are not the only careers that Arnold chose for himself. After immigrating from Austria in 1968, Arnold started a successful brick-laying business and even invested in real estate.

Betsy Morris’ highlighted Schwarzenegger’s larger-than-life personality during a 2004 interview. However, during the interview, Arnold also revealed his outrageously honest opinion about dating.

Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed his preference

In 2004, Fortune Magazine interviewed Arnold Schwarzenegger shortly after winning the California recall election. “It is one thing to see this guy on the screen; it is another entirely to see him in person. He is larger than life. He is funny and smart,” Betsy wrote about the Hollywood icon. She also described the Austrian Oak’s interest in everything from human physiology and macroeconomics.

The reporter also said, “He is disarmingly honest and sometimes outrageous.” Betsy said Arnold “couldn’t care less’‘ about political correctness. “I love smart women… I have no patience for bimbos.” During the same interview, Arnold also gave another example of not being afraid to voice his opinion.

Betsy explained while Arnold was a republican, his views weren’t strictly conservative. While the party was deliberating on inviting Arnold to speak during a convention, Arnold told the New York Times. “If they’re smart, they’ll have me obviously in prime time.” Following his statement, the Republican party invited Arnie to speak at the convention during prime time.

The Austrian also told Betsy that he had two personalities. “One is the really kind, childlike, funny, silly…”. However, the other one is the opposite. The “Terminator” actor said he could also be ruthless and single-minded when required.

An example of Arnold’s ruthless mindset would be something he said in the 1977 docu-drama, “Pumping Iron”. Franco Columbu and Arnold Schwarzenegger befriended each other shortly after Arnold came to America. However, both friends competed against one another for the title of Mr. Olympia.

Arnold used every trick in his book to win the Mr. Olympia title from 1970 to 1975. In “Pumping Iron”, Arnold explained how he outsmarted his friend. Arnold revealed Franco came to him for advice during contests. However, Arnold confessed, “It’s not that hard for me to give him the wrong advices.”
