“Have Been Doing This for Over 30 Years”: Arnold Schwarzenegger Carries Forward His Long-Standing Holiday Tradition for a Noble Cause

As someone who believes in putting their fame to good use, Arnold Schwarzenegger once came up with a heartwarming holiday tradition. The star began this tradition about 30 years ago, where he would distribute gifts and spread some holiday cheer. This year was no different!

Along with Hollenbeck Youth Center, the champion decided to make the holiday season more cheerful by giving away toys. In a series of photos, Schwarzenegger shared some of his happiest moments from the event.

Arnold Schwarzenegger believes in giving back

Since the peak of his stardom, Schwarzenegger has always believed in putting his fame to good use. Whether it is giving back to society or using his privilege for the betterment of others – he has never held back. For the past 30 years, the actor has made a point to spread holiday cheer among those who might not be able to afford it. This year, the Hollenback Youth center witnessed the generosity of the star.

Donning a Christmas sweater, the Austrian Oak played Santa for the kids. He also called this the best part of the entire year, since he can give back to the community. While he handed over various toys to kids, the smile on the star’s face was a testament to his happiness. He wrote how he had “been doing this for over 30 years now”.

He also mentioned the highlight of the event – meeting popular actor Danny Trejo. The star shared a video talking next to Trejo, who donned the costume of the popular character Turbo Man. The duo entertained and interacted with children and parents, while speaking about the true essence of the holidays.

Arnold’s relationship with fame and fortune

For the longest time, Schwarzenegger always believed in making good use of fame. Although giving away gifts is a part of this, it is not the star’s only philanthropic deed. In fact, he has repeatedly stressed the importance of the power and responsibility that comes with being famous. Whether it was being a Governor or a movie star, Schwarzenegger has always followed what he preached.

As the governor of California, he gave up his salary, for the betterment of people. Even later, during an interview with WWE legend Triple H, the star reiterated his ideals about fame. For a famous personality to put the wishes of a common man before himself is a trait of a legend. And Arnold Schwarzenegger is one such gem.
