The Austrian Oak had been relentless in his effort to achieve greatness since he moved to California to pursue his career as a bodybuilder. Arnold married Maria Shriver in 1986. The couple has four children together; Katherine Schwarzenegger, Christina Schwarzenegger, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Christopher Schwarzenegger.
Arnold Schwarzenegger released a statement
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s youngest son, Christopher, was born in 1997. Considering Arnold’s worldwide popularity, his children were always in the media’s spotlight since childhood. However, an incident involving his son, Christopher, when he was just 13 years old was widely covered. Christopher had a surfing accident while boogie boarding at Malibu Beach in Southern California. He had to be taken to the ICU as he had broken multiple bones and had a collapsed lung due to the near-fatal accident.
Arnold and Maria released a joint statement at that time. “While it has been a very scary week, Christopher is surrounded by his family and friends. He is a brave boy and is expected to make a full recovery. On behalf of our entire family, we want to sincerely thank the paramedics and lifeguards who responded so swiftly as well as the doctors, nurses, emergency room and hospital staff who have cared for our son,” read their statement.
Christopher’s siblings expressed their support and prayers for their brother on social media. “Thank you, guys, for Ur concern and prayers for my baby brother!”. Tweeted his elder sister, Katherine. Patrick called Christopher the strongest kid that he had ever seen.

Arnold and Maria Shriver’s relationship
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver clicked instantly when they met in August 1977. They met at Robert F. Kennedy Tennis Tournament, and former journalist Tom Brokaw introduced them to each other. Maria is a journalist and a descendant of the Kennedy family. It was obvious that they would have different political ideologies. However, it did not matter to them.
They married in a Catholic ceremony on April 26, 1986. Arnold’s popularity brought great media limelight to their relationship, and media outlets would publish their public appearances as fans loved them immensely. However, in 2011 they announced their split. They kept the reason for the split private until a media outlet revealed it. Arnold had fathered a child with his house help and had hidden it from Maria for several years. The court finalized the couple’s divorce in 2021, ten years after their split.
