Strongman and Game of Thrones fame, Hafthor Bjornsson, once shared his progress and valuable insights on shedding weight.

Earlier this year, the strongman shared the stark difference in his bodybuilding regime from two years ago. While The Mountain maintains his height and strength, he decided to choose a fit body over a massive one.
Hafthor Bjornsson attained peak fitness this year
In an Instagram post, the Strongman juxtaposed two of his pictures. One is from 2020, two years after he won the World’s Strongest Man competition. While his physique had a well-built and burly shape, his body didn’t show a lot of definition. The second picture, on the other hand, was from earlier this year. The athlete looked more chiseled. While he had evidently lost a lot of weight, he looked fitter.

The caption highlighted Bjornsson’s weight loss progress. Drawing upon the drastic difference, it read,

In a YouTube video, the Strongman winner revealed the secrets of his reformed diet and workout regime. He shared, “I am extremely happy with my shape right now. When I started this journey, I weighed… 205 kilograms and now I am down to 155. Feeling good… Feeling healthy.”

The transformation was huge for someone whose career revolves around health and fitness and served as an inspiration to many. Although he sized down in terms of weight and body mass, Bjornsson reported that he felt fitter.
While strongman-turned-boxer Hafthor Bjornsson is not a professional boxer at present, he has already competed in various boxing competitions and performed well. In fact, 2020 marked itself as one of the most successful years of his life as he soared to the top in both Arnold Strongman Classic and Iceland’s Strongest Man competitions. However, Men’sHealth recently reported that he was planning to quit boxing and begin powerlifting.
