Phil Heath talks about Kai Greene, other competitors, and his struggles
During the Instagram Live session with Big Ramy, Heath expressed a shocking statement about his biggest competitor, Kai Greene. “I knew that guys like Kai wanted to kill me.” Continuing, Heath said that Kai trained very hard to win the Olympia and created a persona for himself in public so that he could get more people to support him. Heath also spoke of his efforts to match up Kai’s hard work by training intensely.

The bodybuilding champion also told that he had to work extra hard to beat exceptional bodybuilders who would give him tough competition. “I knew I had to push myself because guys like you were coming up and guys like Brandon were coming”, he said.
Heath also spoke about how he went crazy in the gym, referring to his intense workouts. Unlike the majority of bodybuilders who have a training partner, he trained when the gym was closed. “My mindset was just to be better every day. Go to war, every day”, Heath stated.

The bodybuilding champion had a workout regime that required him to undergo brutal six days of training for the Olympia competition. He also talked about the reason for not participating in the Arnold Classic after Olympia 2010. “I wanted to focus on staying leaner for the off-season”, Heath stated.“I just wanted to come in super shred because I was not going to beat Jay Cutler in a size game”, he continued.
