Arnold Schwarzenegger has inspired multiple generations of bodybuilders since the 1960’s. During his peak, he had one of the best physiques the world had ever seen. The shape of all his muscle groups was such that they would arouse the envy of any professional bodybuilder.

With that said, Hulk Hogan, too, has numerous achievements up his sleeve. For one, he has had a decorative wrestling career. But apart from that, he had also made heavy claims during his wrestling career.

Who has bigger biceps: Arnold Schwarzenegger or Hulk Hogan?

One such claim was that his biceps measured 24 inches, one of the biggest in WWE history. Hogan rose to prominence as a wrestler during the 1980’s. He enjoyed his fair share of success in the wrestling world till his retirement in 2012.

However, this claim may hold true given that the wrestler has an enormous build. During his prime, the Hulkamania stood at 6’7″. But he has lost some inches from his height, owing to multiple surgeries over the years.

The Hulkster most famously referred to his biceps as ‘pythons’. Although there are no official records regarding his biceps size, he had 24-inch pythons, according to the wrestler’s claims. It is a huge feat as the biceps are among the smallest muscle groups in the body.

During the 80’s, another personality rose to stardom simultaneously, albeit in a different career choice. The figure was none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger. After retiring from competitive bodybuilding, the former Mr. Olympia tried his hand at acting.

He first gained popularity as an actor in the cult classic ‘Conan the Barbarian’. However, the first installment of the Terminator franchise made him the figure he is today.

Nevertheless, even before he arrived in the acting world, he made his mark with his numerous accolades in professional bodybuilding, including six Mr. Olympia and five Mr. Universe titles. Schwarzenegger also won his first Mr. Universe title when he was just 20.

The actor had a ripped physique from a very young age. The Austrian Oak asserts his biceps to be 22-inches in size during his peak form. But there are no official records to confirm or refute the claim.

Is bigger really better?

There is no reason to believe that the most prominent bodybuilder would falsify his claims. And even if his biceps were in the lower range of 20-inch, it is still a magnificent feat.

But Schwarzenegger’s biceps size would still fall short of Hulk Hogan’s 24-inches. But bodybuilding is more about the aesthetics of the muscles and the body than the size itself.

And although Hulkamania had colossal arms, the biceps of the former Mr. Olympia were better defined and ripped than the wrestler. Therefore, declaring a clear winner is difficult, and it basically comes down to preference and size vs. aesthetics.
