Arnold Schwarzenegger started his daily wellness newsletter on the first day of 2023. Nearly four months later, Arnold’s Pump Club has over 300,000 subscribers. While the newsletter has helped many people find positivity, some have reached out to Arnie, thanking him for changing the course of their lives through his words. One of them is a former strongman named Mick Holding. Yesterday, the fan tweeted about how Schwarzenegger’s newsletter helped him control his suicidal tendencies.

The fan tagged Schwarzenegger and his team members in charge of the newsletter. Holding explained how his wife’s support and Schwarzenegger’s inspiring words helped him. After reading the tweet, the bodybuilding legend responded to Holding.

Mick Holding, who admitted to not being proficient with using social media, uploaded a screenshot of the message he wrote for Arnie. “A Big thank you to Arnie and your team. Apologies this is a photo but I don’t know how else to get my message to you,” wrote Holding. The fan wrote, that like Schwarzenegger, he has also participated in sports at a high level.

“I’ve competed in British and World level strongman,” wrote Holding. However, “like most,” people, the strongman has also had to conquer challenges in life. “Mine came in the way of a breakdown and being suicidal,” he wrote. Holding explained how the positive nature of his wife helped him take on the mental challenges. However, he also credited Arnold Schwarzenegger’s positive words and call to action for helping his mindset.

“I do still suffer with anxiety attacks but the more I read and learn from your news letters the more I am getting this under control,” said Holding. Later, the Austrian Oak responded to Holding. “I got it,” wrote the 75-year-old. He added, “I am proud that you are with us and part of our little village. Thank you.”

However, Mick Holding also credited Schwarzenegger for teaching him other lessons.

The strongman also said that Arnold’s Pump Club taught him to be a better person. “To be someone who is empathetic and positive,” wrote Holding. He also wrote the newsletter has educated him to not let negativity or the opinions of narrow-minded people affect his “views of helping others.”

At the end of his message, Holding wished Schwarzenegger’s dream of growing his “village” of positivity surpasses expectations. The bodybuilding icon has always talked about the power of words coupled with actions. Schwarzenegger’s goal with his newsletter, which he also calls “the positive corner of the internet,” has been to motivate people with the right advice so that they can take action. In the case of Mick Holding and others like him, Schwarzenegger has succeeded in reaching that goal.
