Athlete and powerlifter Jacob Tyler Moll once discussed how he developed his physique at the age of 34. He spoke about his journey from weighing 255 pounds to toning his body to a weight of 188 pounds.

The 35-year-old bodybuilder once spoke to Men’s Health Magazine about how he approached counting macros in order to get ripped. He talked about his horrible diet, and the steps he took to improve it.

Jacob Moll always knew that he had the strength

The athlete who is also a family man reflected on the challenges he faced while working on improving his shape. Jacob stated, “I gained weight fairly quickly, and it stuck around. I had a family and kids, plus a new job and moving—there was a lot of stress. I felt tired all the time. He also added, “I got short of breath easily and really wanted to sleep a lot… At 32, I was 255 pounds.”

 

Moll’s insane weight did not slow him down and his vision to be on an international stage as a bodybuilder was crystal clear. The 35-year-old always knew that he had what it takes. He explained how his focus shifted from bulking up to toning his body to reveal musculature.

Jacob Moll knew he had to switch up his diet. He started to research how professional bodybuilders took care of their calorie intakes. The athlete added, “I was excited to show off my shoulders, which blew up with the new workout regimen.” In addition, he stated, “And for the first time in my life, I have legit abs.”

Moll felt like a superhero

Jacob Moll also discussed how his life changed. He explained how elated he felt to see the people around him respond to the changes. After he announced that he wished to try bodybuilding, his peers took notice and started to consider him for bulking-up advice. “My girlfriend was definitely happier and the kids started looking at me more like a superhero,” he stated.

The athlete shared his two cents for people who are aiming to eat healthier. He explained how the key is to develop a habit. In conclusion, “Only eat what you plan,” stated Moll, reiterating the importance of training with intensity and purpose.
