Macros are important for energy production in the body and are needed in larger quantities. On the other hand, micros are needed in less quantity and help in the overall well-being of an individual. In the Instagram post, the 3x Mr. Olympia talks about why is protein the most important ingredient in bodybuilding.

While sharing his picture from his bodybuilding days, Zane wrote the message in his caption. He wrote, “One of the most important ingredients for successful bodybuilding is protein. Protein is important because it is composed of the amino acids, the body’s building blocks. A protein drink is essential for bodybuilders because it supplies amino acids in abundance and is one of the best ways to increase nutrient density while not going overboard on calories.”
