But Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s son wishes to do just that. A bodybuilder and fitness model, 25-year-old Joseph Baena already has one foot in showbiz with his stint in ‘Dancing With The Stars’. Baena wishes to continue his foray into acting, following his father and a particular three-time Oscar-winning legend.

Joseph Baena, son of Schwarzenegger and Mildred Patricia Baena, is creating waves all around with his incredible physique. Due to their extreme similarity, his bodybuilding pictures have drawn quick comparisons to his father in his prime. During an interview, Baena talked about taking acting classes that were also taken by his father and Jack Nicholson.

Joseph Baena talks about his acting aspirations in Hollywood

Recently, Joseph Baena joined Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies on the Morning Show. He talked about his love for bodybuilding, his entertaining stint in ‘Dancing With The Stars’, and his cinematic aspirations. As per 7news.com, he said, “I’ve been training as an actor for quite a few years now since high school doing theatre and taking the same classes that even my father’s taken, and Jack Nicholson’s taken. So learning all kinds of roles and how to channel different characters…”

Baena was talking about the roles that interest him the most. When Gillies asked him about his acting career and the kind of roles he would like to play, Baena had a mixed-variety response.

He said, “So really I am prepared to play anything. Of course, I wanna play action, and of course, I wanna play comedy. But I love playing in the dramas, I love getting into the Romcoms – the romance scene..” He focussed on the obviousness of doing action and comedy more than others. That is a result of his dad’s excellence in both those genres (action more than comedy). Jack Nicholson, on the other hand was known for his dramatic acting, even winning the Academy Award thrice. He won it twice for Best Actor in ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest’ and ‘As Good As It Gets’. He also won Best Supporting Actor in ‘Terms of Endearment’.

Besides the weight of incredible actors like Nicholson, Baena’s relationship with his dad is also bound to weigh in on his career. The father-son relationship has had its ups and downs.

Although Baena is close to his father now, it wasn’t always the case. During the ‘Unwaxed’ podcast with Sylvester Stallone’s daughters Sistine and Sylvia Stallone, Baena said it took him some time to open up to his father and joke around with him. Baena grew up with his mother, separated from his dad, and was nervous for very many years to hang out with him. He even took his mother’s surname over his father’s. Baena still recalls the transformative moment he discovered the identity of his father. But things have changed now and the two are very friendly.

Baena has already acted in movies like ‘Chariot’ and ‘Bully High’, and even in a TV miniseries called ‘Scam Squad’. He discusses most things in his life with his dad now, and one can only hope he seeks the right advice to make it as big as him in the industry.
