Proposing to someone is always a special-yet-daunting experience. It is even more nerve-wracking when the special someone is the daughter of a former Prime Minister of Australia. This is exactly what Sam Loch felt, when he proposed to his now-wife of 5 years, Frances Abbott. Sam Loch is a bodybuilder and fitness coach from Australia who specializes in strength and conditioning. A Princeton University graduate, Loch decided to marry Frances, the woman he loves on February 14, 2018. Half a decade later, he is living his best life.

Loch recently took to his Instagram to share a heartfelt post with his wife, celebrating their 5-year anniversary. He shared a picture of both of them together from their wedding day smiling at the camera.

Listening to his heart, Sam Loch is proud of his decision to marry Frances Abbott

Sam Loch wrote in his Instagram post, “It’s a bold move asking someone to marry you 2 weeks after the day you met and it’s incredibly brave to yes and follow through”. Loch first met Frances Abbott in November 2017, and only 14 days later, he was certain that he had found a true life partner in her. In the most unusual situation, Loch proposed to Frances as she was putting peas in a freezer. They were married a couple of months later, on the most romantic of all dates – Valentine’s Day.

Loch further wrote, “I trusted my gut enough to ask, which was the best decision of my life. Five years later we’re still going strong”. Loch, who runs The Watt Farm – a training center to enhance wellness, and overall improve one’s lifestyle, trusted his own confidence when proposing to Abbott. He finally finished his caption with the line, “Thanks for saying “are you serious?!”, then “of course” and eventually, “I do”. The quick proposal surprised Frances, but she immediately agreed to it. 

Frances Abbott is the eldest of all daughters of former Australian PM Tony Abbott. She is a yoga teacher in Sydney where the couple currently lives now. Three years into their marriage, the couple was blessed with a baby boy, Ernest, born in July, 2021. Their photo from their wedding day itself expresses the joy and happiness they were bringing into each other’s lives. However, Frances isn’t the only person who got the surprise of her life from a bodybuilder.

While Cbum and King got married recently, Sam Loch and Frances Abbott got married on February 14, 2018, at the registry office. With the recent completion of their 5-year marriage, the couple looks happy and blessed, as if they found their perfect match.
