Body autonomy is something fundamental to human survival. It costs your body and soul if you can’t express yourself freely. Women in male-dominated sports often face ridicule and marginalization. Something that is entirely normal for men, automatically becomes alien for women, or other genders. Unfortunately, bodybuilding is one such sport.
Sometimes in male-dominated industries, women might face some ridicule over the littlest of things. Something similar took place with Weronika Chojnowska.
Female Bodybuilder in Heels Faces Inquisition

Weronika Chojnowska shared a video on her Tik Tok account, where she walked into the gym wearing her gym clothes… and heels. Chojnowska is a female bodybuilder who posts workout videos on various social media platforms. Her main focus seems to be her legs, thighs, and glutes.
In some of her videos, she is seen posing with heels, to make the calf muscles and glutes stand out even more. Which is probably what she was doing, or trying to do, in that video. However, without knowing her intentions and motivations, a fellow male gym-goer felt the need to ask her a very burning question – “You are about to work out in these?

Seems like an innocent enough question. Therefore, Chojnowska laughed and explained how she was just posing. But this is not the first time shade has been thrown on female bodybuilders by their male counterparts.

It is a general practice in the bodybuilding community that muscles are considered to be a ‘masculine’ trait. Therefore, females who try to get too big, are labeled as “masculine”. It might be that Chojnowska is trying to combat these stereotypes by posing in heels and proving that even women with big muscles can look feminine. But why does this stereotype exist in the first place?

Well, some female bodybuilders speculate that this body type of women is relatively new for the rest of the world. Which is probably why they would have a hard time accepting it. That might have been true, when female bodybuilding initially started. However, it has been a thing since the 1970s, so it’s time that the rest of the world gets on board with the idea.
