Flex Wheeler, A.K.A., Sultan of Symmetry, is one of those rare bodybuilders who had the best aesthetic physiques in the world but never won a Mr. Olympia title. However, he has won the second most prestigious bodybuilding title, Arnold Classic, four times. While talking with Muscle And Health, the Sultan of Symmetry revealed what was his retirement goal, and why? Wheeler said, “I used to say: ‘When I retire, I’m gonna be the fattest b***ard on the planet,’ because there were so many foods I wanted to eat. I’ve found the right balance. I’m just going to the gym to move around and prevent muscle wastage as I get older.”

Flex Wheeler is one of the best bodybuilders to have competed in bodybuilding. However, his kidney disease has always been a block in his path to success. Moreover, it was even the reason he had to retire in 2003. Wheeler has been fighting this disease from his teens to this day. In 2019, he even had to go through unbearable nerve-racking pain as he lost his leg. And even now, he takes medications to stay healthier and has already gone through a lot.

Recently, while talking with Shawn Ray, Wheeler revealed that his retirement goal went true for some time, as he couldn’t even tie his shoelaces, as his stomach wouldn’t allow so. However, it didn’t stay like that for long, and Wheeler has been a fit person since then. Although the kidney dysfunction took his career to an end sooner, it has also encouraged him to stay fit, even after his retirement. Furthermore, now he is coaching athletes and other people to attain a better fitness level.
