Arnold Schwarzenegger is among the most decorated and experienced bodybuilders alive today. After playing soccer since he was a kid, Schwarzenegger began weight training in his early teens. Innumerable accolades, five Mr. Universe, and seven Mr. Olympia titles later, Arnie is still working out at 75 years old. In December 2022, the bodybuilding legend decided to share his knowledge and experience to help the average American become fitter. His fitness crusade took Arnie back to Reddit after a decade of inactivity. On February 8, 2023, the former Mr. Olympia posted on the r/Fitness community for the first time in nearly a decade. One of the 10.8 million r/Fitness community members asked the bodybuilding legend, “What age do you think is the best age to start introducing a kid to exercises and eventually to working out?” The question caught people’s attention and garnered 349 upvotes. However, he also said that kids should “focus on sports and fun until they show an interest in your training.” Arnold believes the child would eventually emulate the parent “since they’re watching it.”

Schwarzenegger’s answer got 1.3k upvotes.
