Ronnie Coleman once had an interview with Patrick Bet-David. Although the greatest bodybuilder of all time, Coleman is also into a lot of things other than bodybuilding. The legend prefers to watch movies every week and is a fan of action movies. Coleman is enjoying his retirement in the best way possible. Coleman was a beast during his career. Even though he had a major injury, he didn’t notice it and kept participating in events.

Ronnie Coleman is a retired professional bodybuilder. Coleman has secured eight Mr. Olympia titles, which is the highest number of Olympias won by an individual. Coleman used to train two hours a day and his passion for bodybuilding was on another level. Sometimes, he even trained twice a day and emphasized free weight basics.

Movies that interest Ronnie Coleman

“I tried to dabble in a little bit of everything,” Coleman said. He is into everything, starting from politics to watching movies. Ronnie Coleman said, “Every week” when he was asked about movies. He goes to the theater every week at least. That’s a new thing about Coleman that a lot of people didn’t know. 

 

The movie that Coleman recommends is The Terminator, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger plays. When Pet-David asked Coleman about his favorite movie. Coleman replied, “No, I don’t know.” The legend has no favorite movie which he could recommend to someone, but he is definitely into action movies. 

Ronnie Coleman even has a documentary named, ‘Ronnie Coleman: The King.’ In his documentary, we can see how Coleman’s rivals and friends talk about him during his prime time. There was an era where Coleman was the best of the best, but due to a mishap, everything turned south.

When Coleman was asked about romantic movies, he said, “I have never seen a notebook,” and Bet-David burst into laughter. Coleman wouldn’t even watch romantic movies even if you paid him. 

The downfall of Coleman

Ronnie Coleman during an intense squatting session in 1996, dislocated his disc. He even worked out with that dislocated disc for around 10 years.

The dislocation of the disc could have caused paralysis. He was in pain during all those years, but he kept on working out. According to Coleman, bodybuilding was everything to him and he couldn’t have just left it even though he had a major injury.

This kind of motivation is easy enough to scare anybody. The determination to work out despite injuries is commendable. Ronnie Coleman is surely a legend who went through all the pain just to keep following his passion.
