Retired bodybuilder Jay Cutler might have left the limelight years ago, but he still maintains a fantastic physique today. In 2013, when Jay retired, he engaged himself in multiple ventures, but he never went out of shape. Two years later, when he was asked about his fitness regime, he shared some wonderful insights.

Jay Cutler is a four-time Mr. Olympia champion. He won the prestigious title back-to-back in 2006 and 2007 and again in 2009 and 2010. Considered to be one of the bodybuilding gems, Jay was famous for his marvelous quadriceps and quad-stomp pose.
How did Jay Cutler maintain his physique even after retiring?
After competing in 2013, Jay never looked back. He did miss fans’ hooting and the glamour that comes with being a bodybuilder, but he did not miss competing. Cutler was quite happy to focus on growing his business empire and explore more opportunities with being a bodybuilder.

Looking at his spectacular physique, he was eagerly questioned by Prosource in an interview, about his competition-worthy physique. Cutler revealed that he had not tweaked his routine. He only made a few changes that went a long way for him.
He explained, saying, “Workouts now are more focused on pumps and less on weight. My challenge now is to hit it hard and steady for 30 to 40 minutes without any distractions. Three to five days a week of high-intensity weight training while maintaining a clean diet and supplement program to boot. Still one to two body parts a day, 8 to 12 reps on everything.”

As Jay Cutler manages to carry a well-maintained body, he frequently gets asked for advice from amateur bodybuilders. He always advises novices to give their muscles time to grow. According to him, staying focused on diet, training and rest can yield the best results for beginners.
How busy is Jay with his life at the present?
Jay Cutler is busier than ever. His days are so busy that he frequently travels to Las Vegas for work commitments. He spends a lot of time working towards his brands Cutler Nutrition, Cutler Athletics, and various NPC events. Days have become longer and more challenging for him. He still manages to do cardio. However, weight training becomes a challenge when he has International flights to catch.
