In the interview, the Egyptian discussed the best diet for bodybuilders, his favorite foods, and also what is required to be done for huge gains. Big Ramy has won the Olympia twice, in 2020 and 2021. He is the reigning and defending champion and is considered to be the greatest contemporary bodybuilder. Hence, when he spilled some tips, the world took notice.
Big Ramy says it’s not that bad
Bulk is not gained in a day. Apart from a vigorous exercise regimen, what works best for muscle clarity is a solid diet. The Egyptian athlete knows this all too well. Speaking about his nutrition tricks, he told Generation Iron in his 2021 interview, “Eating like a bodybuilder is expensive but it’s not as bad as you’re probably thinking.”

Ramy is a professional athlete and an IFBB Pro. He knows the stakes are high when he gets up on stage. In order to maintain his near-perfect physique, he takes extra care of what he puts inside his body. Always ready for every challenge that life throws at him, he said, “I buy in bulk and try to stock up during off-season whenever possible. I recommend all bodybuilders purchase a deep freezer!”

Big Ramy believes that the best diet for bodybuilders is high-carb ones. He stated, “I think all diets have their place, but I’ve always been a believer in high-carb diets for bodybuilders.”
Discussing his diet further, he continued, “My Favorite Fat Sources are Avocado, Olive Oil and Coconut Oil. My Favorite Protein Sources Are Skinless Chicken, Eggs, Extra Lean Ground Beef, Tuna, and Salmon.” In conclusion, he adds, “ In order to be Mr. Olympia you need to eat big and train hard!”
