The level of success Arnold Schwarzenegger achieved at a young age is phenomenal. He is one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time and became a successful actor. Movies like Terminator 2, Twins, True Lies, and Commando showcased his immaculate talents. It all came into place with the 1982 film Conan the Barbarian. Fans knew from that moment that he composed his way into the hearts of action-loving fans.

After the earlier success, they recreated it in 2011 with the colossal Jason Momoa at the helm. Sharing a similar body frame to Arnold, he is currently one of the most sought-after action heroes. Jason Momoa snubs Arnold Schwarzenegger

Wanting to impart his wisdom to his successor, Momoa jokingly revealed how Arnold gave him too much advice. Some people prefer to focus on their craft and learn from their mistakes. Momoa wanted his space during the filming. He jokingly said, “He did all the time, I was like, ‘Dude, you gotta leave me alone, bro.” Although he wanted to create his own style, he recalled how Arnold said he liked the movie.

“I was excited to find out he actually watched it and liked it a lot. He was proud of me and thought I did a good job,” said Momoa. Acting in a remake remains tricky as fans set their standards to the first part. They want the character to be relatively close to it. Not Momoa, though. He did not watch the first part of the movie. He preferred to watch his feature at first.

Should have listened to Arnold?

The film was nothing like Arnold’s classic back in 1982. Avoiding tips from Arnold, Momoa’s Conan fell drastically. The budget for the film was $90,000,000. But, it grossed $63,523,283 worldwide, succumbing to weak performances with substandard graphics.
