Arnold Schwarzenegger is a person who ruled the bodybuilding and physique sports industry like none. Born in 1947, the “Austrian Oak” has been the winner of seven Six consecutive Mr. Olympia titles. His work has never stopped, even after he officially retired from active competition.

Schwarzenegger has donned many coats like that of a politician and a Hollywood action hero. But, it seems like even for a larger-than-life personality like him, things can get hauntingly human.


Schwarzenegger is also famous among his fans for his newsletter. His newsletter is quite popular and requires only to be signed up via email. In one of the newsletters in 2021, this bodybuilder discussed quite a few things but most importantly wrote how he wanted his fans and followers to take his death in.

The newsletters are quite informative and fun, covering a diverse amount of topics. From jokes to throwback photos to life lessons and motivation, Arnold offers a lot to his fans. Here he discussed what things after his death would be like. For starters, Schwarzenegger said that the fact of eventual mortality annoys him quite a bit.

He said, ” I have such a great time here that I hate the idea of death.” For Arnold, childhood was not easy. Thus, struggling since that age taught him to be grateful for his current life.  But, even though he had negative thoughts about death, he did not want his fans to do the same. Instead what advice he gave was pretty motivating.

Talking about it, he said,  “I don’t want you to feel pissed off on my behalf or even sad when that day comes. I want you to be inspired. I want all of you to pick up wherever I leave off…”

He rather took the time to remind his fans about their individual and collective responsibility to keep the legacy ongoing. Whether it be politics or fitness or motivating the youth, he urged his fans to be useful.

Arnold is the embodiment of an undying legacy to a lot of young men and women across the globe today. He has been popularly dubbed as a self-made star, an image of the cherished ‘American Dream.’ He has left a great legacy in bodybuilding, being one of the men to have brought it into the mainstream.

Through his long career, this man showed millions that it was possible to flex a 22-inch bicep, to be 240lbs of shredded muscle, and to dominate both the political and the Hollywood scenario.
