To draw some context into the situation, let’s take a look at how an athlete would prepare for a pre-judging routine. From ensuring that they have dried up well, balancing carbs and fats, to limiting one’s training on the day of the showdown, there’s a lot to keep in mind. In an audio call with Bodybuilding & BS, Ramy opened up about the events of the morning on the day of the competition. He stated, ” don’t understand what the problem is. I always did my cardio all the time.” In fact, if he skipped cardio for a day, he felt like he was missing something.

For the sake of his mental health over physical conditioning, Ramy’s coach, Dennis James let the bodybuilder perform his cardio. Keeping the loss of the title aside, Ramy sounded undeterred while talking about his return. With the Arnold Classic fast approaching, Big Ramy is currently also undergoing stem cell therapy for his back and shoulder injuries. Whether Big Ramy can dominate the Arnold stage or not—only time will tell.
