Arnold Schwarzenegger once revealed in a 1999 interview about the same.
Did Arnold Schwarzenegger listen to his wife’s advice?
In 1999, Schwarzenegger appeared on the Arsenio Hall Show to promote his then-upcoming film Terminator 2. The legendary bodybuilder mainly talked about his acting career, wife, and other things.
However, when Schwarzenegger continued talking about his “greatest wife”, the host quickly warned him to not reveal extensively about his personal life. Well, it seemed like even Arsenio was aware of Shriver’s warnings to journalists.
He reminded Schwarzenegger, “We don’t want to talk too much about your personal life. Because every time I see her at a game she says, ‘Don’t get him talking about our personal life,’ she hates that.”
Although Arnie and the audience laughed at the host’s imitation of Shriver, the bodybuilder agreed that his wife warned him against getting carried away during interviews. He said, “She always gives me this instruction before I come on a show. That day before I just walk down she says, ‘Don’t get too much into the personal life and, number two don’t talk about s*x.'”
Schwarzenegger does have the habit of opening up a lot during interviews, but he also admitted to keeping several secrets from his ex-wife.
