Frank Zane is one of the greatest bodybuilders in the sport’s history. The 80-year-old is renowned for his wisdom and expertise in sculpting an aesthetic physique with symmetry and proportion. And in a recent interview on YouTube, Zane gave a straightforward answer to a question on the 53-year-old bodybuilder Mike O’ Hearn’s form.

The former bodybuilding champion won three consecutive Mr. Olympia titles between 1977 and 1979. Endowed with knowledge in different subjects, the intellectual bodybuilding coach gave his opinion on the use of steroids to develop a competitive physique and look bigger.

The recipient of major titles, including Mr. Olympia, Mr. Universe, and Mr. World bodybuilder Zane conducts one-on-one bodybuilding sessions as a coach. He said that Mike has been training with him. “He’s [Mike] publicized some stuff, and he’s probably… could be the next big thing in bodybuilding if he chooses to do so,”

The interviewer pointed out Mike’s age as a 53-year-old. On this, Zane continued, “He’s right on top of the world. He’s.. I think 275 pounds. He’s 6’2. He’s huge.” These stats intrigued the interviewer to pose the question, “Do you think he’s all natural?”

Zane replied, “I don’t ask people that question.” Furthermore, he described it as “their own personal business.” Although taking muscle-enhancing steroids is an open secret, a few don’t prefer to be open about it. Zane reasoned why they don’t accept it as “it’s not to their advantage to admit it.”

The interviewer continued the discussion with mentions of injecting drugs to improve muscle and size. “Do you have thoughts on that?” Being acquainted with the sport closely for decades, the legendary bodybuilder said, “They do what they need to do,”

Moreover, he pointed out that it is a disadvantage to not do what everybody else is doing, and put oneself behind in the competition. As more and more players resort to unnatural methods of building a huge physique, Zane said time would tell the future of this trend, and he has no idea how it is going to evolve.
