However, recently, a 21-year-old bodybuilding enthusiast became a subject of scrutiny on social media as he took the exercise to an extreme.

Tyson Ridenour is a 21-year-old fitness enthusiast and a fitness influencer, who documents his deadlift prompts and shares them with his fandom. Likewise, in January 2023, the fitness influencer shared his workout spree with his fans through his social media handle, where he can be seen lifting 765 lbs weight. But recently, his three-month-old video got resurfaced and received a hoard full of criticism from netizens.

Recently, the official Instagram handle of Bodybuilding.com re-shared Ridenour’s workout video. In the reel, the 21-year-old can be seen eating rice crispy treats while simultaneously lifting the 765 lbs weight in the sumo squat position. However, with only a few seconds in tow, the bodybuilder leaves the deadlift apparatus in a reflex and walks away. Captioning the post, Bodybuilding.com penned, “Um sir, you forgot to struggle…Man lifting 765lbs quickly”.

Following this, many fitness enthusiasts flocked to the comments section to express their disregard for Ridenour and wrote…

Now kindly move your feet together and do a real dead lift”

Remarks like “Sumo doesn’t count”, “There’s nothing cool about this”, “Sumo deadlift is a thing?”, and “That’s sumo there it’s not struggle” brimmed the comments section to the hilt. One even called out Ridenour for dropping the weights quickly and penned, “First of all, it’s not a strict form of deadlift, this is a sumo deadlift which powerlifters do as warmups , And if you are trying to show you are strong , try not to throw the weights so badly that you can’t control while dropping it down”.

While many from fitness community expressed their dissent with the 21-year-old’s prompt, Ridenour’s fans appreciated him for his muscular prowess.
