With eight Sandow trophies, Lee Haney is the first bodybuilder to break and hold the record for most Mr. Olympia victories. Later, Ronnie Coleman equaled this mark while establishing a brand-new physical subgroup known as the insane mass monsters. Years later, athletes and spectators who formerly demanded a new look are now more interested in the classic body image. Speaking on the same, Lee opened up his heart.
Describing his 1984 win, he said, “to win one time is a miracle.” However, there was more than just the cosmic intervention. Haney refused to credit a ‘miracle’ to his eight wins. He said, “to win it eight times doesn’t make sense.” He draws attention to the hard work that he has put in.
